Using all of the styles ever used. Seeing management giving more freedom of decision to officers. Having officers work through the PBL process to get to a resolution.
I'm not sure if I can get our officers to use the PBL process to get to resolutions. 90% are retired from the City and they have their own way of resolving issues.
Thinking outside the box and promoting a problem solving agency, like I said previously we have that foundation and need to have that goal of long term sustainability.
My vision for 21st Century police leadership includes convincing old dogs to learn some new tricks . This may be a lot easier to in other departments with younger dogs. There have been several changes in policing in my short career and I'm sure there will be more unless I can escape soon.
