Understanding the grant process

Understanding the grant process . . .- I have very little understanding of the grant process but I'm sure in the next couple of weeks the will change (ever so slightly ?) . I know there are several rules that are usually attached and that your grant may be revoked if the rules are not followed (other than in Flint).  Bart has given me a little insight on a joint venture in obtaining a grant and I'm going to discuss this direction with my chief prior to applying for my grant.
I have never seen our resource allocation model and I'm not sure one exist. However, are I'm sure that if we had one, some part of it would be related to CFS. We obviously are much busier on first and second shift. I would like to revisit this with my chief and talk to her about staffing levels on our second shift. I think we are overloaded on days.
Data driven policing is all new to me.  I feel a little behind .  When Steve started talking about it a couple of weeks ago I had no idea what he was talking about.  ( I still don't)  I'm not sure if we would get a great use out of this at the college but i can see how it could benefit cities, townships, counties and even the state police .  There is a lot of data out there in reference to expressway ramps
